Due to the demulsifying effect, the hydrocarbon contaminants float to the surface of the solution and then they are separated using appropriate equipment (skimmer, bypass, overflow, etc.).

In most cases, the heat exchanging equipment is cleaned using circulating systems (SIP washers).

The demulsifying effect allows separation of larger volumes of hydrocarbon contaminants from solution, the separated contaminations are disposed separately.
